The Quincy Rockers are sure rocking the world thus far with another album release. Their sophomore album Jingle with the QRs is a Christmas Special, with soulful renditions of Christmas tunes arranged and performed by the QRs themselves!

The Quincy Rockers has sold millions of albums worldwide (their debut album Bringing Sexy Back, was just released last month), which is absolutely mind-blowing, considering the fact that these musicians are just 17! And in less than a month, the QRs have released yet another music album, which is flying off shelves twice the speed of that of their debut! Following their musical success, the Singapore Band will set off for their 2nd World Tour, Explosion. That's extremely good for a band who's only been in this industry for less than a year!

In town recently to promote their new album Jingle with the QRs, the QRs kindly agreed to hang out with us and let us delve into the secrets of their band's success:

17: Tell us about your new album, Jingle with the QRs.
Clara: Jingle with the QRs is a lot more soulful than our debut. In this album, we had a lot more freedom on our musical direction especially in music arrangement.
Xinru: Moreover, this time, Shiling [cellist of the QRs] could not be present for our album's recording due to her guest performance as the principal cellist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. However, she was also involved in the musical direction of this album as we had tons of video conferrences with her while she was touring.
Quincy: Ya.

17: Having churned out album after album, don't you guys find it tiring and feel like quiting?
QRs: Definitely not!
Xinru: Music is our passion, and our life! We love playing and composing and we'll never ever stop doing it!
Quincy: We're so pro[fessional] we could finish all these songs in one day!
Clara: It may be tiring, but we'll continuing with our music and churn out albums by the gazillion, for our fans, and for our love for music! In fact, we're currently working on our third album and have already recorded a few tracks.

17: Wow! You guys are really ambitious. Do you guys plan to do anything else besides music?
Quincy: Besides being musically talented, we can bake, cook, design fashion apparel, organise campaigns to boycott shark's fins, design our QR merchandise, write our own biographies, cause airline tickets to be soldout till a strike occurs at Changi Airport, disiguise ourselves as other famous stars [but why would they ever do that? people already love them for who they are!]. Oh not forgetting, I caused Rain to cry too! See, we can do lots of other stuff beside music, we're multi-talented!

17: How have your family and friends reacted to your success?
Clara: They've been very supportive. They're very proud and happy for everything that I, together with my band mates, have achieved so far.
Quincy: There were some of my friends who got a bit wierd with me when I became successful, especially after that incident when I made Rain cry. Maybe they were jealous or something, and they stopped being friends with me.

17: How do you deal with public interest in your life and the band's personal affairs?
Xinru: I think we're dealing it real well. I'm always flattered when fans come up to me and ask for my autograph, but at the same time, this life can get kind of crazy especially with the papparazi mobbing us.
Clara: But thank God we have our transformers to protect us!

17: What advice would you give youngsters with big dreams?
Quincy: Keep idolising the QRs and follow in our footsteps. You'll never go wrong.

(TODAY, WEEKEND STYLE) - Today was just another showing of how crazy fashion can make people. The Quincy Rockers' new line for Q&R launched this morning at Vivo City's new outlet, and the line snaked around the store. Here’s the minute-by-minute account of the event.

7:15: Crawl out of bed to face the crowds.
8:36: Interview first girl in line, who claims her aspirations are to model and that the QRs are her favorite designers. Looks like we found them a new runway girl. She’s aiming to buy the gold dress with encrusted diamonds and leather coat with fur trimmings.
9:12: The Quincy Rockers arrive to a screaming line of fans and paparazzi. Thank goodness their entourage of bodyguards and 4 transformers were at the scene to protect them from being mobbed by the masses.
9:17: Press rushes the front door as the QRs enter, shoving cameras and mikes in their faces.
9:56: The QRs are escorted to the middle of the escalator where they prepare to watch over the entire scene. (Body guards surrounding them, of course, forming an indomitable human-like fortress)

10.00: Models catwalk the QRs very own designs on the runway.
10:56: Doors to the Q&R store open and the customers run in, grabbing entire racks, of whom most were unable to make purchase payments due to the high prices of the Q&R apparel.
11:02: Everything is gone from the first floor. Guards are watching the mannequins and salespeople are on platforms trying to bring order to the madness. Two girls are pulling each other’s hair off on the floor for a black velvet dress. Meanwhile, bodyguards are stepping up their duty, making sure that no one harms the QRs.
11:05: Screaming begins from the middle of the store, as it seems a throng of girls and salespeople have gone down in attempts to re-stock. Lots of foul language.

Bringing Sexy Back!

The QR's very new album seems to be some sort of a stylistic triumph. First of all it’s not over stretched and twelve melodious tracks go by in just slightly over forty minutes. Opening single SexyBack starts the album off. The piano melody in this track comes off with pizazz and grandeur, giving this hit a stunning vibe. The only downside to this song was the shaky accompliment pulled out by the violinist. The album follows with Black Fur Coat, which is one of the slower melodies in this album. Subsequent tracks include singles My Oh My, Bring it Back and We love Hard Gay, all which have topped the Top 100 Pop Music Charts even before the QR's album had been released.

In Bringing Sexy Back, the QRs exude great confidence, a sexy vibe and passion in their music and this is one of the most revolutionary albums I've ever come across. In fact, their album tagline is such an apt one, that it puts Justin Timberlake's album to shame.

(The Economist) 2 weeks after the world reknown band's stunning performance at Live Earth, the US and Austrailia revised their initial stands, and finally agreed to sign the Kyoto Protocol. This move signifies a great achievement in international efforts to conserve the environment. With the increasing reliance on electricity and manufactured products, carbon emmissions have been rapidly rising in the last decade or two. The creation of the Kyoto Protocol in 1997 is one of the most successful attempts at eradicating this problem. Kyoto Protocol countries agree to set tradeable permits on industries carbon emmisions, in order to restrict the amount of pollution. "It[the Kyoto Protocol] is truly a brilliant idea, not only does it reduce pollution, it gives firms an incentive to lower emissions as well," marvelled world reknown economist, Margarette Tang. The tradeable permits gives firms with low costs of reducing pollution a chance to profit from selling their unused permits to other firms with higher costs. The protocol hence narrows the MSC and MPC gap, hence bringing production levels closer to the socially optimum level. It is truly an ingenious plan. Unfortunately, not everything can be perfect.(except for the QuincyRockers) When first introduced, countries with high emmissions like US, Austrailia and China refused to sign the protocol. However, against all odds, one Live Earth performance by the band managed to change the unaccepting countrie's mindset. When interviewed at a press conference yesterday, the US president only gave vague reasons for his sudden change in mindset. However, many suspect the true reason lies in the QuincyRockers as the President was spotted cheering and dancing to the soul enchanting music of the band during Live Earth. When questioned, he denied being a fan, but many are skeptical. After all, there can be only one person who turns up in a concert draped in an American flag and surrounded by bodyguards that rival those of the QuincyRockers themselves. (AP) - WANG LEE HOM, taiwan singer/artiste was faced with backlash by fans of Quincy Rockers on an online site created yesterday in response to his attempt to uproot Quincy Cheng's popularity as Asia's hottest male celeb. Millions of QR fans united in their submission of a petition against Wang's challenge, calling for people all over the world to boycott his music.

"Nothing will hinder the Quincy Rocker's fame. The whole world loves them like nuts. We're infatuated with them. " commented one adoring fan.

"The Quincy Rockers hypnotised us with their music! We can't stop listening to it. LeeHom must not do this to the Quincy Rockers!" wrote another diehard fan on the site.

Wang was apparently fuming with rage to know that QR's enthusiastic fans were calling for others to boycott his music. In a spate of anger, he uprooted a nearby tree and yelled in agony "TO HELL WITH QUINCY CHENG AND THE QUINCY ROCKERS!"

Well-known for his boyish good looks, Wang recently mastered the skill of charming fans with enchanting violin melodies. Hence, he feels that he is currently of great calibre to win back throngs of fans from the Quincy Rockers, whose fame has been rising exponentially with their revolutionary music.

"Being the only guy in the four member band, Quincy is definitely my main rival in this industry" said Wang, "I've finally mastered the violin, and will certainly challenge Cheng in being Asia's hottest male celeb."

(Animal Wellness)-The Quincy Rockers, world famous band, are currently invovled in an Anti-Shark's Fin soup campaign. The sudden increase in "green-mindedness" of the general public after the QuincyRocker's Live Earth! performance have confirmed the band's world-wide influence, and their members feel obliged to put their fame to further good use. In this venture, the QRs signed an agreement with Animal Concerns and Research Education(ACRES), Singapore. Working hand in hand, theQRs and ACRES hope to put a stop to the cold blooded culling of sharks. This recent collaboration was initiated by Tan Xin Ru, the QR's guitarist, who is also an animal rights activist.

Shark's fin soup is regarded as a delicacy in many Asian cultures, and is often served in many Chinese Restaurants at exhorbitantly high prices. However, this does not seem to quell the popularity of shark's fin soup. It is curious why people find the dish delicious. The soup is thick and bland. In fact, it tastes like "...fingernails and hair!" to Singapore born Michael Aw, a marine conservationalist based in Sydney. Furthermore, it has no nutritional values to speak of. The production of this delicacy is in fact, extremely painful to the sharks. The fins are cruelly chopped of the sharks, which are then thrown back into the sea. The lost of the fin cripples the shark, leaving it unable to swim and hunt. The shark is then slowly starved to death.

This cruel act is NOT justifyable. Sharks are facing extinction in this day, and play an important role in the marine food cycle. Also, contrary to popular belief, sharks are not aggressive, and claim less than 12 victims every year.

With this in mind, the QRs will be launching a campaign over the next few months, and will also be boycotting shark's fin soup. It is the band's hopes that they will be able to reduce the rate of consumption of the dish by half one month into the project. ACRES executive director, who wishes to remain unidentified, says that the band is being too humble. "They have such amazing influence on people, halving the consumption of the dish is certainly too humble an estimation. In fact, they might even be able to change the long established custom of eating shark's fin soup and completely phase out the production of shark's fin soup."

In phase 1 of this campaign, the QuincyRockers will be viewing sharks in nature reserves, to learn more about them. The photos from the visits will be sold at US$50 each. All proceeds be used to fund the project. The band has already taken time off their extremely tight schedule to visit Shark Sanctuary, a reserve located in Brisbane, Australia. "Even the sharks seemed happy to see them," commented Anthony Goodwill, manager of the reserve. Apparently, the music of the band has transcended the human boundaries, and even reaches into the animal kingdom.

Observe the intricate patterns on the instruments. If you look closely, each instrument has a slightly different design theme. These designs reflect the different personalities of each of the band members, and the similiarities represent their joint love for their music. Much effort was put in in the brainstorming of slogans. Many ideas were put forth, but only the best were chosen. The slogans were selected based on how well they cater to the fans, and how well it brings out the enthusiasm and love of the fans. As you can see, creating these series took an immense amount of time and effort. Yes, you guessed it, the stickers are designed by the QuincyRockers themselves, much of the credit going to pianist Clara Goh.

Flights to Japan Sold Out!

(The Straits Times) - According to a Singapore Changi Airport spokesman, all the flights from Singapore to Japan have been sold out today. This has angered many customers and rumours have it that they are planning to go on strike against Changi Airport for failure to provide them with airflights to Japan.

Christean Streiff, CEO for SIA's Airbus, said "It's the first time that we've experienced such an incident. We've never had insufficient tickets for flights to any country in the entire Changi Airport's history!"

Apparently, the 76 different airline companies which caters to flights from Singapore to Japan have experienced a sudden boom in ticket sales, resulting in all tickets being sold out. The prices of tickets skyrocketed, jumping to about 600% its usual price. The budget airlines were the most affected, with current ticket prices still climbing at this moment. Renowned economist Margratte Tang-a great fan of the QuincyRockers-commented, "The prelimary data is still rather inconclusive, but it seems to hint strongly that the overwhelming ticket prices was caused by enthusiastic fans of the Quincy Rockers, World famous band, in Singapore." This arguement is highly convincing and is generally agreed upon by economists around the world. The Quincy Rockers are scheduled for their Live for Live Earth live concert tommorow, hence fans in Singapore are snapping up air tickets as quickly as they can, crippling the supply line and overcrowding the airlines. (Entertainment A-Z) The manager of the QuincyRockers(QRs) has revealed in a conference yesterday that the QRs are inviting a guest stripper for their upcoming Live Earth! performance. Said guitarist Tan Xin Ru, : "We[the band] feel that our stripper[Alvin Leow], has too little experience in stripping for huge crowds. We also think that a familiar face would be more appealing to the Japanese audience." The lucky stripper is none other than the famous and hilarious Hard Gay! Known for his hip-thrusting dance and trademark call[HOoo!], Hard Gay is bound to be a hit in both the live audience and viewers worldwide. As of this moment, internet forums and QR fansites are buzzing with excitement. This collaboration with Hard Gay is definitely adding to the anticipation. What about the band's current stripper, you might ask? Despite his replacement, Leow seems optimistic. "If the band feels that I am not good enough yet, then I will respect their decision. the Quincy Rockers to perform in Live Earth

(JAPAN, Tokyo) - Live Earth Founder and Producer Kevin Wall announced in Tokyo today that World's most famous band, THE QUINCY ROCKERS, will be included in the artist lineup for Live Earth Japan, a concert to combat global warming. Makuhari Messe in Tokyo will host a daylong official Live Earth concert.

It is definitely Singapore's honour to have the Quincy Rockers choose this humble city as their kick off for their world tour. In fact, Singapore has every reason to thank them for politely accepting the request to celebrate Youth Day with the teens in Singapore.

Most of the 9000-strong audience at the Singapore Indoor Stadium - consisting of throngs of pre-teens, families, and even old grannies and grandpas - were on their feet moving and dancing to soulful renditions of the Quincy Rockers' hardcore music.

Dressed in shimmering and stunning all white ensembles embellished with tons of diamonds (rumoured to be sponsored by the father of Clara Goh, pianist of the Quincy Rockers), the 4 member band wowed the crowd as they performed the hit single My Oh My as their opening song for the night. This was followed by 4 famous tracks, Sexy Back, Bring It Back, Black FurCoat and We Love Hard Gay, accompanied by guest singer Dolly Foo, who starred in the Singaporean Play the Dim Sum Dollies.

After a stunning night of 19 songs, mostly from their yet to be released debut album, the crowd was definitely wowed by the powerful and indomitable Quincy Rockers.

And why not? The wonderful concert had everything - elaborate costumes, consisting a total of 15 costume changes, a grand performance stage and 10 bodyguards coupled as dancers.

What was disappointing though was the act by the stripper which was hired by the band to add vibe and excitement to the concert. The stripper struggled to raise the temperature of the concert during the 5 minute solo act, as it was lacklustre compared to the electrifying performance by the Quincy Rockers.

Though violinist Quincy Cheng played several wrong notes, the other band members - pianist Clara Goh, hit every note on her piano with full throttle, the celloist Goh Shiling, played her pieces with such conviction and the guitarist Tan Xin Ru strummed her guitar so passionately and perfectly - that they made up for the violinist's mistakes. After all Cheng is Asia's hottest male celeb! He definitely can be forgiven for that minor fault of playing those few wrong notes.

Overall, it was evident that the 4 member band charged the stadium with more energy than the bomb explosion in Hiroshima during World War 2. With their ability to captivate such a strong crowd of 9000, it is of no doubt that Quincy Rockers is the best band in the world, and perhaps even the Universe too!

The pop megastar's likeness adorned most of the city's billboards this spring, her intricate piano melodies were piped through its subway stations, and baseless rumours had crowds lining up for nearly a mile down Queen's Road to catch a glimpse of the world renowned musician in person. (The Straits Times) - It's official! Transformers have been bought over from the set of the latest movie, Transformers, to safeguard the Quincy Rockers (QRs). These transformers will be the latest and newest addition to their entourage of bodyguards.

Steven Spielberg, executive producer of the Transformers, said, "We willingly wrapped up the filming for transformers one month early, just to ensure that our transformers could be delivered to the QRs as soon as possible. After all, the safety of the world's most famous band cannot be compromised."

Having conducted stringent selection tests, it was a long and tedious process for the board of directors of the QR to select the 40 bodyguards currently possessed by the QRs. However, these 40 bodyguards were insufficient to handle the overwhelming diehard fans who were constantly harrassing the famous musicians.

(Entertainment Weekly) - The Quincy Rockers, world's best band, has added 30 new bodyguards to their entourage. This brings the total number of bodyguards that they own to a meagre number of forty, 10 per member.

" This certaintly can't do!", quoted one of the minders from the band, "fans of the Quincy Rockers are increasing exponentially and they're constantly harrassing the 4 members, that these 40 bodyguards are certaintly not enough to protect the band from any harm or whatsoever."

How the Quincy Rockers met?

It all began at the University School of Music (USM) , world's best university for music. It was the place in France - where the 4 child prodigies who were the youngest ever to enrol into the university's campus - crossed each others' paths. At age 9, they began pursuing their education in Music at the USM and eventually graduated with countless Ph.Ds.

The four members thereby continued their journey, embarking on world tours with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) and the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (PSO). With their stunning contributions, the four members made the LSO and PSO what they are today - renowned orchestras in the world!

After pursuing music for a period of 17 years, the 4 members decided to take a break from world tours with the LSO and PSO. In fact, their dream was to tour the world as a band to bring their music forward to the masses globally. Their vision was to impact the lives of the human communites throughout the entire region with their wonderful music. Hence, in order to fufil those dreams, they formed the band QUINCY ROCKERS!!!

Quincy Rockers is now currently managed by a group of 8 minders, 2 for each member, 10 (and still counting) bodyguards to protect them from throngs of emotionally-charged diehard fans, 107 stylists, and a board of 16 directors to access and manage the band's performance and direction throughout their career.

Though they may have tons of difficulties managing their heavy school workload in Victoria Junior College (Singapore), they nevertheless have the zest, vigour and passion for music and will continue to live their dreams of establishing and bringing the QUINCY ROCKERS to greater heights!

Despite their extremely busy schedules, the QUINCY ROCKERS still took time off to have lunch with their diehard fans. Celloist Goh Shiling, was unable to attend the lunch gathering, as she had to return to the studio for another sound check.

It was a rather quick lunch as the QUINCY ROCKERS' 10 bodyguards could not handle the situation outside any longer. Apparently, throngs of fans were waiting outside just to get a glimpse of the famous band, and the situation got so bad that they caused a ruckus outside the restaurant.

The Quincy Rockers has kindly agreed to endorse the latest Gatsby Product - Moving Rubber, Purple Edition. The band will only endorse the purple packaging for Moving Rubber Hair Wax, as it happens to be Quincy Cheng's favourite colour. Cheng is the violinist of the world renowned 4-member band. When asked why purple was his favourite colour, he said "It all makes sense. Purple is hot, cool and sexy. It's not gay you know..."

The QUINCY ROCKERS' first attempt at baking turns out to be a success! Their peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake baked with love by the 4 member band is currently auctioned on site Ebay. The largest bid so far is $250,000.

It is rumoured that Dolly Foo, one of the cast of the Singaporean play Dim Sum Dollies, guided the QUINCY ROCKERS in their baking. "Their baking skills were fantastic. In fact, little guidance was needed." said Foo. "Oh! And you should see the way Clara cracks those eggs. She seriously has great talent in that."

Leow, a student studying in Victoria Junior College, seemed excited to join the band but said that nothing has been confirmed thus far. In fact, they did such a good job, that nobody noticed the difference on the red carpet. Reports say that violinist, Quincy Cheng, mastered the art of disguise so well that he made himself invisible. (AP) - The remix of My Oh My, performed by the QUINCY ROCKERS, has been selected as the soundtrack for the Disney Movie - Pirates of the Carribean 3 Dead Man's Chest.

Speaking from his office in Hollywood, Executive Soundtrack producer of Pirates 3, Jerry Bruckheimer, said "the moment I heard their rendition of the song, I knew this has to be it. This remix will definitely add depth and dimmension to my movie to captivate the audience and tug at their heartstrings."

Currently, My Oh My is no.1 on the UK billboard charts.

The music video of the QUINCY ROCKERS' rendition of My Oh My (originally sang by Aqua) features members disguising themselves as pirates. This is definitely one of the best marketing gimmicks by their company to publicise their well-known hit which will be the original soundtrack of Pirates3. Apparently, diehard fans of the QUINCY ROCKERS are rushing to get tickets for the movie, just to hear the music played by the band.
